Dr. Sullivan serves as the Principal Investigator of the University of Louisville Pediatric Pharmacology Research Unit (PPRU) and the Chief & Medical Director of the Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (KCPCRU). Her research interests center around investigator-initiated and Phase I-IV industry-sponsored clinical trials and she has been the Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator on over 50 clinical trials. She also maintains an active Critical Care practice and has served as a member of the university of Louisville Biomedical Institutional Review Board (HSPPO) since 1998.
Dr. Sullivan received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 1998 and completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1991. She also completed a fellowship on Pediatric Pharmacology and Critical Care at the Case Western Reserve University/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland, OH in 1995. Dr. Sullivan accepted a faculty appointment at the university of Louisville in 1995 and is currently a full professor. she is the author of 24 peer-viewed publications primarily in the areas of pediatric clinical pharmacology and critical care. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Critical Care and Clinical Pharmacology and was recently elected as fellow of the Society for Critical Care Medicine.
