Program Overview: The purpose of this activity is to educate medical professionals who would like to learn about incorporating other languages than English in clinical research studies.

Target Audience: The target audience includes all healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals involved in research who are committed to fostering inclusivity and equity in their work.

Speaker(s) Bio
Dr. Maya Ragavan is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also the Associate Vice Chair of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Research for the Department of Pediatrics and Associate Core Director for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute Community PARTners Core. Her research interests focus on preventing intimate partner violence (IPV), specifically by supporting IPV survivors in pediatric healthcare settings and examining cultural risk and protective factors to prevent IPV among immigrant families. She also does work focused on engaging parents in supporting their adolescent-age children in developing healthy romantic relationships. She is deeply passionate about stakeholder involvement and with the majority of her research is conducted in partnership with community-based organizations

AMA Credit Designation Statement
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of .75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ACPE Credit Designation Statement
These knowledge-based activities will provide pharmacists with up to 0.75 contact hour or 1 CEU. CE credit information, based on participation and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion.
ANCC Credit Designation Statement
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of .75 ANCC contact hours. Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.
AAPA Credit Designation Statement
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for .75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
